Atterbury Cyprus has been appointed to refurbish the Mall of Engomi. Work is already underway and is already at an advanced stage, with the current estimated date of completion being Spring 2021.
“This month will see us enter the next stage of the redevelopment, including the construction of the first floor extension and the new food and drink spaces, along with the installation of electrical and mechanical services. Progress will soon be visible from the outside with the creation of the new façade,” Project Manager Polis Tsiartsiazis said.
The shopping centre benefits greatly from its location, since Engomi is a central and sought-after area, especially with it being host to several universities and student residences.
The Mall of Engomi will soon have a fascinating new facade facing October 28th avenue, with the Sklavenitis and Superhome Center stores remaining as they are, while the rest of the centre will be refurbished and rearranged, with a new combination of shops and eating areas.
“We already have a very loyal client base at the Mall of Engomi and a steady level of consumer traffic which has not been affected by the opening of other retail stores in the area. The redevelopment’s primary aim is to create a mall with a fresh, modern look which can offer even more retail, food and entertainment options, addressing the needs of both the area’s student population as well as any permanent residents,” said Mall of Engomi General Manager Julian Smith.
There is great interest in renting spaces at the mall, especially from brands who wish to enter the retail market for the first time.
