The non-profit Cyprus Recycling Organization (OAK), the pioneering collective Construction and Demolition Waste Management System, recently hosted its inaugural Environmental Awards Ceremony for contractors and members, to mark 2022 accomplishments.
Since 2019, OAKs’ Board of Directors has instituted these annual Environmental Awards to commend members who champion the safeguarding of Cyprus natural environment, diligently meeting their obligations under relevant laws, both directly and indirectly.
This year, the event saw Leptos Group receive the prestigious ‘Golden Certificate of Award’ for their judicious management of construction and demolition waste in their projects, alongside their collaborative efforts with OAK to preserve the island’s natural and built environment. The honour once again underscores Leptos Group’s commitment to a more sustainable future.
Throughout the award ceremony, organisers stressed the growing trend of companies adopting eco-friendly practices, and refining internal processes to enhance environmental protection. The event attested to the increasing dedication of businesses of embracing a greener, more sustainable approach.
