ENAVSMA Foundation organised a beautiful event in the presence of Minister of Education, Sports and Youth Athena Michaelidou, to honour sponsors and well-known personalities for their enduring and valuable support.
In her address, Minister Michaelidou reaffirmed the state’s commitment to supporting the younger generation, acknowledging the work and efforts of the Foundation, whose purpose is to provide opportunities to talented young people who have the passion and ability to advance academically, but lack the financial resources.
“We firmly believe that education should not be the privilege of the few, but the right of all. Thus, through scholarships and targeted initiatives, we ensure that no obstacle can stand in the way of acquiring knowledge, especially when one’s will is profound,” said ENAVSMA Foundation President Natasa Michaelidou.
Foundation Vice-President Leontios Tselepos highlighted the progress of beneficiary students. “Today, many of the postgraduate students we supported continue to dream after the initiation we provided them with,” he noted.
“Others work abroad, in Greece, the Netherlands, Ireland, in large organisations, and others returned and started their professional career in Cyprus. Others continue their studies with aiming for doctorate degrees. This fills us with so much pride in what they have achieved, and highlights our responsibility to continue what we are doing.”
The Foundation’s sponsors were awarded at the event. Awardees included: Hellenic Bank, which stood by the Foundation as a Grand Sponsor for the last two years; Charalambides – Christis, who, in 2024, co-organised the “Unite our Voice for the children of Cyprus” concerts with ENAVSMA, providing magical moments to audience members while securing 11 new scholarships.
Organisers also thanked and awarded G. Charalambous – AhmadTea, IPH Iakovos Photiades Group, Aspris Quality Fruits & Vegetables, Cyprofruits Citrus Trading Ltd, the Annabelle Hotel in Paphos, the European University that offers scholarships, as well as Alcon, Klinete, La Vinoteque Wine Cellar, Meat4Meat, StMountains, Cyprus Seeds, Human Talks, Leventis Gallery and 3on3 Cyprus Ltd, whose commitment makes the vision of the Foundation a reality.
Additionally, special mention was made of three exceptional people, each of whom have been an inexhaustible source of inspiration: the uncompromising, charismatic Louis Patsalides, the legendary Olympic champion Kyriakos Ioannou, and the fearless archer Christos Misos — all living examples of strength and perseverance.
