
Tens of students from schools in occupied Rizokarpaso were received by the Commissioner of Humanitarian Affairs and Overseas Cypriots, Mr. Fotis Fotiou at the Ministry of Finance on December 20th, 2017. Mr. Fotiou distributed 45 tablets to the students for their school needs, a contribution of the digital library READ by MTN.
The event falls within the context of the special program empowering youth education, which MTN has been focusing on for many years, this way providing young people with the opportunity to enjoy the best of today’s technology.
The 45 tablets received by the enclaved students include the application READ by MTN already installed. This allows students to have access to all school books in Cyprus as well other learning aids.
The aim of this initiative is to take advantage of technology by motivating students to be part of the digital era. The use of READ by MTN digital learning platform enriches students’ knowledge and skills and helps promote learning.
READ by MTN digital learning platform was developed as part of the Company’s CSR program, aiming to intersperse digital knowledge. The application is supported by the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Center, the European University and the SPP MEDIA group.
