Twitter users received answers on the Cypriot tax system in real time
PwC Cyprus’ Twitter Tax Cast took place for the third consecutive year. During the Twitter Tax Cast, which was held on 10 May, companies and individuals had the opportunity to ask questions about Cyprus’ tax system live by using the hashtag #PwCCyTaxCast and receive answers in real time from the organisation’s expert team, through PwC’s official account on Twitter (@PwC_Cy_Press). It is worth noting that the exchanges took place in three languages: Greek, English and Russian.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr Stelios Violaris, Partner, Tax Advisory at PwC Cyprus, said: “The Twitter Tax Cast is directed at organisations but also individuals who operate in the country or who wish to expand their activities here. The Twitter Tax Cast is a useful tool for those who have incorporated technology and social media into their daily lives and the way they work, offering immediate access to useful information, but also timely information on current developments. At PwC Cyprus, we believe that such technology-based initiatives contribute to the tax planning of organisations and professionals in an efficient manner and of course to their timely compliance with the Tax Authority.”
