A member of MetLife Inc, the global leader in insurance programmes, MetLife Cyprus celebrates 60 years of vibrant presence in Cyprus’ insurance market.
Today, with a solid network of highly skilled insurance agents and administrative associates, and with over 50,000 policies, MetLife rightfully belongs among the top insurance companies in Cyprus.
However, an insurance company is not defined solely by numbers, but also by the people who have entrusted it with their dreams and hope for a better future. MetLife has supported these people for 60 years, and will continue to do so for 60 more years, and longer.
The true work of a large insurance company was carried out once more by MetLife, supporting the children undergoing treatment at the Makarion Hospital Children’s Oncological Clinic.
Through the “Painting for Children” event, organised on Saturday, September 19, and Saturday, October 10, in collaboration with a children’s art school, MetLife Cyprus invited children to draw the number 60 in various formats and creative ways. Many people joined the event, literally adding their ‘brush stroke’ to the effort to support the Children’s Oncological Clinic. MetLife offered €20 for each painting, and the tallied sum was donated to the hospital. The amount was boosted by a donation by the MetLife Foundation, MetLife’s sponsorship arm.
This event was but one of MetLife Cyprus’ effort to support people in need, an effort that will continue unabated, so that we, in turn, can see children smile and hope for a better future.
During the company’s official dinner on October 15, MetLife Cyprus’ managing director Antonios Karpasitis, as well as MetLife Europe’s CEO Dirk Ostijn, handed a cheque for €30,000 to Nicosia District Officer Marios Panayides, thus strengthening the Children’s Oncological Clinic work.
