British Airways has announced a significant increase in the number of flights from Larnaca International Airport to London Heathrow Terminal 5. Particularly convenient for all passengers wishing to travel to the United States, the additional Monday, Wednesday and Sunday flights now offer same-day connections with very attractive fares to the buzzing cities of New York and Boston. Tickets at competitive prices will be on sale from now until July 2, 2018.

The new schedule, boosted with three additional weekly flights, will take effect on October 28, 2018, lasting until March 27, 2019, with a grand total of 10 flights to Heathrow Terminal 5 per week. With 2019 predicted to be another bumper year for Cyprus tourism, British Airways’ flight increase also aims to enhance the connectivity of the island and its potential to attract visitors.

Return fares start from 125 Euro in Euro Traveller and 460 Euro in Club Europe, and customers can choose to cut the cost of flights by using Avios part payment. Flights will operate on a new Airbus 320, with customer benefits including moving map video screens, the widest single-aisle fuselage on the market, and all leather seats.

“We are particularly pleased that the additional flights now give customers greater opportunity to combine their travel arrangements to London with same day connections to New York and Boston, making the U.S. and its endless attractions more easily accessible than ever before,” says Freddie Stier, British Airways Regional Commercial Manager Europe Trade Sales.

“London as a destination itself also remains a top preference for Cypriots, both for business and pleasure. Our boosted schedule gives travellers the chance to make the most of a break in one of the most vibrant cities in the world, with its well-known historic landmarks, top dining opportunities and exciting arts scene.”

Heathrow Terminal 5 is British Airways’ flagship terminal and was voted best airport terminal by Skytrax in 2016. Aside from convenient connections to New York and Boston, BA customers also have access to a global network of more than 550 destinations around the world, benefiting from the airline’s partnership with American Airlines, Iberia and Finnair. British Airways has launched its multi-million-pound investment plan to benefit its customers with a focus on excellence in the premium cabins and more choice and quality for all.

Four hundred million pounds will be spent on Club World with an emphasis on improved catering and sleep, and a new seat in the future. At Heathrow a First Wing check-in area with direct security and lounge access has launched, and lounges around the airline’s network are to be revamped and improved. The Club Europe cabin has also been introduced on UK domestic services and all customers can look forward to the latest generation Wi-Fi across British Airways’ long-haul and short-haul fleets over the next two years.
