American Academy of Larnaca ,organize the final ceremony for the school period  2017-2018.

President Omiros Motites, on behalf of the Council of the AA Alumni Foundation, says that I’d like to welcome everyone to this year’s Graduation ceremony and especially our graduating students.

On behalf of the Council of the AA Alumni Foundation, I’d like to welcome everyone to this year’s Graduation ceremony and especially our graduating students. This evening is a special occasion in so many ways and I feel exceptionally blessed to address the Graduating class of 2018 for the second consecutive year both as a Chairman of the Board but also as a proud parent.

Graduation is a time of celebration and triumph and marks the end of one phase and the beginning of the next phase. It is a very proud moment for the graduates, parents and teachers who have all played their part in the end result. The students have worked hard with focus, determination and discipline. The teachers have done their utmost to help the students by encouraging and motivating them to perform at optimum and achieve the end result. As Alexander the Great once said “I am indebted to my father for living, but to my teacher for living well”

Before I address the graduates and on behalf of the board, I would like to take this opportunity to deeply thank the school’s staff, both support and academic, my fellow Council members and the Parents’ Teachers Association for their enthusiasm, dedication and hard work to serve the American Academy. This school is fortunate indeed to be served by such a dedicated, professional and loyal body of people.

You are fortunate that you are graduating from an institution that has prepared you exceptionally well. While the apolytirions you will receive this evening signify that you’ve completed all of the academic requirements for graduation, bear in mind that they embody much more. Many of you have taken advantage of the school’s extra-curricular activities in art, music, theatre etc  and a large number of you have participated and excelled in athletic competitions, learning the value of dedication and teamwork.
