Jamie Oliver announces first ‘Jamie’s Italian’ restaurant to open in Cyprus in 2016

Jamie Oliver and PHC Group of companies are proud to announce the opening of the first Jamie’s Italian restaurant in Cyprus in spring 2016.

Jamie Oliver is a well-known British chef, restaurateur and media personality, famous for his innovative food-focused television shows, cookbooks and more recently, his global campaign for better food education. His restaurant group, Jamie’s Italian, is one of the fastest growing in the UK with 40 unique restaurants in major cities around the country – a remarkable growth since the opening of the first restaurant in Oxford in 2008.

Jamie’s Italian is inspired by Jamie’s passion for the Italian way of life and the menu is all about creating fantastic, rustic dishes using tried and tested recipes and only the best fresh ingredients. Jamie’s friend and mentor, Italian chef Gennaro Contaldo, has added authenticity to what is the essence of Jamie’s Italian – tradition combined with current, innovative ideas and a Jamie ‘twist’. The restaurants offer a casual dining experience that’s designed to be affordable and accessible – everyone is welcome and should feel comfortable.

Already loved by diners around the world in metropolitan cities such as Sydney, Moscow, Singapore, Sao Paulo and Dubai, plans for the continued international expansion of Jamie’s Italian are in full swing. Jamie’s Italian Cyprus will open in the Engomi area of Nicosia and will be launched by Avantage B&R Italian Restaurants Ltd, part of Lysandros Ioannou / PHC Group of Companies PHC operates brands such as Wagamama in Cyprus and Greece, Caffe Nero, Mediterraneo, Pizza Hut, KFC, Taco Bell, Derlicious and other local brands.
