From the outset, the new startup airline Cobalt, which wants to make Cyprus its base of operations, has adopted the «Think Global, Act Local» policy. Beyond the formalities of registering the company as a Cypriot entity, Cobalt have also invited and acquired Cypriot investors, the majority of their current staff are Cypriots (many of whom are former Cyprus Airways experienced executives) and now, they have assigned the branding and livery design to Telia & Pavla BBDO and The Hybrid Advertising Alliance.

COBALT, the new low-cost airline, is now in the final stages of the licensing process, and plans to spread its wings in the spring of 2016. Initially, they will be flying from Larnaca International Airport to a wide range of destinations throughout Western Europe, Russia, the Middle East, Africa. Eventually, they will add long haul destinations such as China and the USA.
