Direct connection to the internet hubs of Moscow and Sofia for an even better experience for Cytanet customers!
Two new deals were recently made by Cyta, expanding its Cytanet network, which now gains a direct connection to the internet exchange points MSK-IX (Moscow – Internet exchange) in Russia and BIX (Bulgarian Internet Exchange) in Bulgaria.
These new connections, in conjunction with the existing connection to the GR-IX (Greek – Internet Exchange) centre, significantly improve the quality of connecting to Russian, as well as other, networks operating in Greece and the wider Balkan region, allowing direct and swift data exchange and abolishing all intermediary nodes and networks.
As a result of Cyta’s commitment to continuous investment in the international network infrastructure, Cytanet has achieved to date total connections to the international network in excess of 120 Gbps. Thus, the service’s international network has become one of the best and most reliable in the Easter Mediterranean, continually upgrading the customer experience, for even better voice, picture and data internet services.
In addition to connections with important international providers up to 70 Gbps, the Cytanet network today boasts connections with the largest internet exchanges through fiber-optic connections at speeds exceeding 50 Gbps. Specifically, it has a connection to LINX (London Internet Exchange) in the United Kingdom, DE-CIX (Deutscher Commercial Internet Exchange) in Germany, AMS-IX (Amsterdam Internet Exchange) in the Netherlands, GR-IX (Greek Internet Exchange) in Greece, and EM-IX (Emirate Internet Exchange) in the United Arab Emirates. At the local level it is also connected to CY-IX (Cyprus Internet Exchange).
Through these international collaborations and the capability to exchange internet traffic with more than 1,000 important networks (including content networks, picture and voice, social networking, interactive gaming, etc), Cytanet continues the upgrading of its internet services, committed to its pledge to tirelessly contribute toward the improvement of its customers’ business endeavours.
